The Rock Hill Alumni Kappa Foundation would like to invite you to become a sponsor and/or donor for our Sixth annual Brian Wofford Memorial Flag Football Tournament. The Tournament will be held for the first time in Rock Hill, SC on May 16, 2020 at South Pointe High School, located at 801 Neely Road, Rock Hill SC. The tournament will consist of 12 teams participating in a three-game pool play followed by single elimination play. The tournament will begin at 9:00 AM. The event will benefit our flagship mentoring program titled Kappa League of Rock Hill which is syndicated with the National Kappa League program.
The Rock Hill Alumni Kappa Foundation was developed with the intent of making a positive difference through the National Guide Right Program. The Guide Right Program is the flagship national service program of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. and is consistent across all chapters throughout the fraternity. The focus of Guide Right is providing young men with the necessary leadership skills and training needed to be successful in accomplishing their present and future goals, dreams, and aspirations.
The Rock Hill Kappa Foundation is a 501-c3 non-profit public benefit charitable foundation operating in the Rock Hill and surrounding communities. The foundation supports our Kappa League of Rock Hill program through the following:
- Provide Kappa League students the opportunity to tour surrounding colleges and universities and assist these students in the college admission process.
- Provide a three-day Kappa League Leadership Conference hosted by a major university. The 2020 host is the University of Georgia. Kappa League students spend 3 days collaborating with students in other Kappa League chapters across Georgia and South Carolina.
- Promote and instill values and ideals of achievement among school age males from middle school through high schools.
- Mentor students each Friday, throughout the school calendar year, in select middle schools in Rock Hill School District 3.
- Host monthly Kappa League business meetings for High School students from all surrounding school districts (Chester, Fort Mill, Rock Hill and Lancaster)
- Guide, encourage, and motivate school age boys and young males to strive for excellence in academics, citizenship, and continually portray a positive image in society.
